Dog on a log

What a lovely day for a walk. The blackthorn is in full flower, the first bluebell flowering, the birds are singing, the sun is warm - what's not to like. I love this time of year.

Looking good, hopefully I can make some sloe gin for xmas 2107 if the birds don't get all the berries first.


 

Bluebell

The first sign of a bluebell flowering I have seen this year. It looks like a good year for bluebells too - check back here in a few weeks time.


7 spot ladybird

This is my first ladybird of the year too.

Also

I heard the following birds singing:

Robin
Dunnock
Chiffchaff
Great Tit
Chaffinch
Blackbird

and calls of Green and Great-spotted Woodpeckers

Finally

    From the 3 different angles... how long did she sit there? (voluntarily:)

    If she thinks she might get a treat she would probably sit there all day! The biggest problem was convincing her to sit on the log in the first place.
