Sadie goes for a ride

It has been a while since we visited the sea so I decided to dig out the trailer and take her along the coast to Littlehampton.

We wandered around for a bit on the beach first.

No Sadie, they are stones - you can't eat them.

The horizon looking South. A line of wind turbines are being built in the channel. They seem to be about where the big tankers pass. I don't think they can slalom between them!

Sadie checking out Sea Kale. She didn't seem impressed. It is just about edible if you know what to do with it.

And finally on to Littlehampton. This shows how it was. Since then the river has been channelled and sea defences built. The latest work done over the last couple of years.

This is looking out to sea from the east bank Of the River Arun. The west bank has been largely unimproved and is now a nature reserve - and yacht club of course.

And now looking North a little further up the river.

It started to rain so we headed back towards home.

 Sheltering from the rain

I had to get wet to take this one. It is the end of the longest bench in the country. Obviously they ran out of space as they had to fold up the end of it!

Finally off again. Strangely, it doesn't appear to have been raining here. I thought I would include the flag, not sure why!

  1. The dog vehicle looks OK. We used are similar thing here. What brand is that? Can't read the small label.
Is she calm in that while on the road?

  2. It is a DoggyRide trailer (http://www.doggyride.com/). It is quite old and bashed about now. I got it soon after Sadie, so about 10 years ago. She used to hate it but now she loves it. If she sees the trailer, she gets in before I can pack her stuff! She sometimes barks at people/cars but mostly she just likes the ride.
